A Osquared transformou um edifício do século XIX na Rua de Cedofeita num novo empreendimento residencial de apartamentos acolhedores e de alto padrão, no centro do Porto.
Localizado numa das ruas comerciais mais emblemáticas do Porto, o projeto combina um piso térreo comercial com áreas habitacionais em dois andares, preservando a estrutura espacial e o conceito originais.
A escadaria interior original, elemento central do edifício, é a fonte de inspiração em torno da qual evolui todo o conceito arquitetónico e de design. A composição de arcos divisórios e alvenaria de granito prolonga este sentido de ligação.
O diálogo sereno entre dois séculos é evidente em todo o projeto, composto por 1 loja e 5 apartamentos (Studio e T1), onde uma generosa luz natural invade cada divisão ao longo do dia.
Modern meets classic
The intended layout created a set of apartments and shop, maintaining the whole structure and spatial concept of the preexistence.
In spite of its advanced state of degradation, the interior’s romantic layout – which was still evident, particularly through the staircase was the starting point of the setting up of the design proposal.
Location
Prime location in historic area of Porto. A simple and rigorous layout, where spaces are strongly lightened, marked by maintained elements of the original spaces: the arches that divide spaces, the granite masonry, woodwork, and stairs.
The result is 5 apartments (studio, 1-bedroom,) and one store, where the interior space creates a peaceful dialogue between past and present, echoed in contained and elegant spaces, animated by the variation of daylight.
